You can call me Chuck Joule for short though. With a HORDE of 40,000 screaming Barbarian fans, the Barbarians went out to face the Montreal Gators in Game 7, of the SPHL Seigel Cup Finals. To the enthusiasm of the 40,000 people, the Barbarians went out and defeated the Gators 3-2 in the deciding and final game. Joe Thornton had the winner, a shorthander, nonetheless, winning it for the Barbarians. It has been a very strange week here in Hamilton. The Barbarians won Game #1, and then lost 3 straight to go down 3-1. GM Palmer was then arrested, released on bail, came back and fired Coach Don MacLean, took over the reigns and battled to back to win 3 straight games, to take the cup. "Today, I am a King amongst men. I knew when I first took over for Ray Regular, I would be thanking him when the season was over, because I knew the potential of the team I was given. To Ray - Thank you! Good luck with your BullFrogs. Also, To Alex Caporicci - Thanks for moving Chris Terreri over, he was a GOD in the playoffs. This has just been an INCREDIBLE season. Petr Varis breaks 2 offensive records, and Phil Housley broke, what is it, 3 records held by defensemen. Like I said before, Chris Terreri really won this for us in the playoffs. He didn't have the greatest regular season, but when it came time to really perform, he did just that. I would like to thank everyone! The players, the assistant coaches, and the Hamilton Media for a great season. The biggest thanks goes out to the fans though. Our fans were incredible. They must be the happy fans too, they have 2 professional sports teams, the Hamilton Ti-Cats of the CFL & the Hamilton Barbarians of the SPHL, and both won championships! THey deserve it, they are tremendous fans! Thank You!" GM Palmer was extremely joyful, as he was wisked into the lockeroom. We followed suit into the room, and it was quite a scene. The champagne and beer were flowing everywhere. Just behind us, we believe we saw Neil Flynn of the Ravens trying to sneak in for some alcohol, but security did away with him. A parade is scheduled for next Saturday at 6 am, as the parade will go until midnight, an 18 hour frenzy in downtown Hamilton. We here at TBN feel for Matt Waltz of the Gators, as the newly dubbed "Lemieux Curse" continues, as the Gators lose their second straight Cup Final. The Off season is now here, and this is where alot of the GM's see as the most entertaining, although some seasons it can be very lengthy. Hopefully this season's off-season won't be as long.
