Nobody was saying it, but almost everyone knew, that this was Nick Lemieux's final moment - and he wanted to go out in glory, or like anyone in pro-sports - on top. The Montreal Gators won their second championship in three seasons crowning their departing leader Nick Lemieux as one of the best of all time. An interesting fact is the Gators of SPHL10 had the identical regular season record of the Gators of SPHL8, both teams were champions. It seemed that the SPHL10 Gators were a team of destiny this season, as it was only fitting for a winner like Nick Lemieux to leave the defending Siegel Cup Champion. Congratulations to Lemieux and the Gators, his replacement has big shoes to fill.
